Mini Guard is built on the official Apple Find My specification. The wristband appears alongside your AirTags and family devices in the Find My app — and benefits from the same end-to-end encrypted, crowd-sourced network of nearly a billion Apple devices.

How Find My helps when mobile data drops
If the wristband loses cellular coverage in a building, a basement or a remote area, it switches to Bluetooth and quietly pings nearby iPhones, iPads and Macs. Those devices relay an encrypted location update to your iCloud — without ever seeing your child's identity or location.

Privacy by design
Apple Find My uses rotating cryptographic keys so that neither Apple nor relayed devices can identify the owner of the wristband. Mini Guard does not see this data either — only your Apple-signed-in family does.
