Returns & Warranty

14 days by law. 30 days by us. 2 years of protection.

We want every family to feel confident with Mini Guard. At launch, EU law will give you a 14-day right of withdrawal — we will voluntarily extend it to 30 days. On top of that, we will be liable for 2 years for any non-conformity of the goods with the contract, and Mini Guard will add its own 24-month manufacturer's guarantee.

These are our policies for launch. Mini Guard is currently in development — join early access to be first.

Your statutory 14-day right

At launch, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Polish Consumer Rights Act, you will have the right to withdraw from a distance sales contract within 14 days of receiving the wristband, without giving any reason.

Notify us with any clear statement — an email to info@miniguardfamily.com is enough. The model withdrawal form will be available on the Terms & Conditions page (/terms).

We will refund all payments (including the standard delivery cost paid on the original order) within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal statement, using the same means of payment you used. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or until you provide proof of return, whichever occurs first.

Our 30-day policy below will extend this deadline voluntarily and will not limit your statutory rights.

If the wristband is faulty on arrival at launch, return shipping will be on us. We will arrange a courier pickup the next working day and refund within 5 working days of receiving the device.

How to return your Mini Guard

At launch, the process will be fully online. You will not need to print anything if you ship with InPost.

1. Submit a return

Log in to your account, open the order and click 'Return'. Choose 'Withdrawal from contract' or 'Non-conformity claim' and tell us the reason. Optional, but it helps us improve the product.

2. Pack the wristband

Place the wristband, charging cable and quick-start card back in the original box. The box does not need to be perfect — focus on protecting the device.

3. Ship it back

Pick InPost Paczkomat, DPD or DHL Pickup. We will email you a paid return label and, for InPost, a QR code so you can drop the parcel at any locker without printing.

4. Get your refund

We will refund to the original payment method within 5 working days of receiving the parcel (and always within the 14 days required by law for statutory withdrawals). PayU, Przelewy24 and card refunds will usually land the same day; BLIK refunds will settle by the next business day.

Refund details

  • At launch, the full product price will be refunded, including the standard shipping cost paid on the original order.
  • If you chose a more expensive shipping option than the cheapest available at checkout, we will refund up to the cheapest standard option (this is required by the EU Consumer Rights Directive).
  • At launch, the cost of return shipping will be on you for change-of-mind returns and on us for confirmed defects or non-conformity.
  • Refunds will be issued exclusively to the original payment method — we cannot pay out to a different card or account.

Manufacturer's guarantee (24 months)

At launch, in addition to your statutory 2-year liability for non-conformity of the goods with the contract, Mini Guard will grant a voluntary 24-month manufacturer's guarantee (gwarancja) for manufacturing defects. This guarantee will not limit your statutory consumer rights in any way.

  • At launch, battery will be covered by the guarantee if capacity drops below 60% of nominal capacity within 24 months of purchase.
  • At launch, charging cable and pin connectors will be covered for 12 months against electrical failure.
  • At launch, display, GPS module and SOS button will be covered for the full 24 months.
  • At launch, a replacement device will be shipped within 3 working days of confirming the guarantee claim.

What the guarantee will not cover

  • Mechanical damage caused by extreme impact (e.g. dropping from height onto concrete).
  • Damage from swimming, diving or prolonged submersion (the device is planned as IP67: protected against splashes and brief immersion only), or from solvents and chemicals.
  • Unauthorised repairs or opening of the device casing.
  • Normal cosmetic wear of the strap or housing.

Out-of-court dispute resolution

As a consumer, you may use out-of-court dispute resolution before going to court. In Poland, the main paths are mediation at the Voivodeship Inspectorate of Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej), free help from your municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów), and the Permanent Consumer Arbitration Court.

Using ADR is voluntary and does not affect your right to go to court. Full details are in section 12 of our Terms & Conditions.
